I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
